PIRATe ACADEMY
GAME OVERVIEW
Pirate Academy is a Warioware-like game. The player takes control of a pirate crew who sits an exam in order to obtain their pirate degree. The crew must travel between different islands to find the treasure chest before the others. Each time the ship sails, the player has to complete a series of mini-games. Each mini-game was designed and produced by one student of my promotion.

DESIGN OVERVIEW
I wanted to keep a Warioware spirit and design a very simple game, this is why I chose to use only one input. The goal of the game is to smash a fly when it stops under your swatter.
The game must be in rhythm with the music, so the fly will start to fly at specific and different times for each difficulty level.
POST MORTEM
WHAT WENT WELL :
I planned my prototyping sessions. Thanks to that, I was ahead of my schedule.

I helped other people with their mini-games during my free time.
WHAT DIDN'T GO WELL :
During the game development, I spotted an issue in my last difficulty level. I had to redesign it from scratch.
FINAL THOUGHTS :
I loved this project, it was fun and I saw my improvement in game programming and game design. Furthermore, the management was flawless and that helped me to focus on other aspects (tldr my mini-game).
